SERVICE PROJECTS
Welcome to Boy Scouts of America Sea Scout Ship #300, in Alviso (San Jose), CaliforniaAlviso. 

Sea Scout Ship 300 Skipper - Jeffrey Lam
Drawing upon the Scout Oath, Sea Scouts are expected "to help other people at all times." The SSS Spartan emphasizes participating in community service to benefit the local community, environment, and veterans. Alviso hosts various community events, including the annual Day on the Bay, enabling Sea Scouts to interact with community members and perform service. The ship's proximity to the San Francisco Bay provides a plethora of opportunities in projects related to conservation and sustainability. Sea Scouts also participate in flag ceremonies and honor guard for community events, especially those that honor our veterans for their service to our country. Whether on land or sea, the SSS Spartan trains our Sea Scouts to leave a positive impact among the people they meet..
